The NAS Fort Worth JRB Library offers a variety of resources, programs, and services for children, teens, adults, and families. Library programs are offered all year-round, and most library programs are FREE and open to all with base access.

Capacity is limited. Browsing is now allowed and the children's area is open. The computers and Wi-Fi are available, and patrons can still print or fax things. And you can always make use of the library’s outstanding online catalog of materials for all ages: Study for an exam, learn a new language, or just enjoy a great book. Curbside pickup is also available. Masks are still required for personnel not fully immunized (2 weeks beyond final dose)

  • • Staff will call/email patron when items are ready for pick up
  • • Upon arrival, call the Library at (817) 782-7735 to let us know you are here

  • • Items should be returned to the blue book drop in the Library parking lot, at which point they will be disinfected and quarantined for 72 hours

Program Kickoff
Reading Colors Your World—and so do animals! Kick off a summer with The Creature Teacher. Meet a kangaroo and other amazing animals, and get signed up to start logging your reading. 
Saturday, June 12, 10 am to noon

Professor Pop’s Bubble Show
Brett the Bubble Man will create some of the biggest bubbles you’ve ever seen, then teach you how to make some big bubbles of your own. This program will be held outside the library—of course!
Wednesday, June 16, 10 am

Foam Cannon Party
It’s a foam party on the library lawn! Bubbles, foam, beach balls, water squirters, inflatable toys, and music will make for one awesome dance party. Swim suits and towels encouraged!

Paint It, Plant It
Join us on the library lawn as we paint our own flower pots and then plant a pretty flower you can take home. Wednesday, June 30, 10 am

All About Animals
Miss Cindi will introduce the children to a variety of amazing animals, including mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates. Wednesday, July 7, 10 am

James Wand Magic Show
This “super spy magician” uses secret codes, invisible writing, and a cool spy book to fascinate the children and teach them that the most important skills for a secret agent are reading and writing.

Rock Painting
Reading colors your world and paint can color these rocks! Meet on the library lawn to paint rocks and have a snack. Wednesday, July 21, 10 am

John O’Bryant Magic Show
John will take you on a first-class trip filled with magic, illusion, fun props, comedy, music, and lots of audience interaction. Monday, July 26, 10 am

Summer Reading Celebration
Wrap up your colorful summer of reading with activities, giveaways, and a crazy performance of magic and illusion from Josh Ayala. Saturday, August 7, 10 am to noon

Storytime on the Lawn
Meet outside the library for a weekly storytime and snacks. Bring a blanket or chair!
Tuesdays at 10 am, weather permitting
