ABOUT THE CENTER

The goal of the Navy Fitness Program is to create "Fitness for Life" for the entire Navy population, including active-duty Sailors, family members, retirees, and DoD civilians. Individual and group instruction is available from certified fitness professionals in cardiovascular conditioning, strength training, flexibility, and nutrition.

The MWR Fitness Center on base offers quality, relatively new free weights, cardio equipment, and resistance training machines as well as a full size basketball court and raquetball court. Next to the facility is the Outdoor NOFFS Zone.

Facility use is free for active duty, retirees, Reservists, authorized family members, and DoD employees.  Civilian contractors and authorized guests are required to pay a fee* for use of the facility and must remain with their sponsor at all times. All patrons must show proper identification to enter the facility. Facility Guest Fee (includes Group X classes): $4.00/person/day.  Reservations are required for all fitness classes.

Access to Workout/Activity Areas. Patrons must be 15 years or older to utilize workout/activity areas containing free weights and exercise equipment without supervision. Youth who are 10-14 years of age may utilize these areas with direct adult supervision. Ages under 10 are not permitted on the main weight floor, high intensity space, cardio or circuit training area. Youth, 15 years and older, may utilize the basketball, racquetball courts and multi-purpose courts without supervision. Youth 14 years old and younger may only utilize the basketball, racquetball courts and multi-purpose courts with adult supervision.(CNIC 1710.3).

PERSONAL TRAINING

Personal Trainers are FREE for active duty personnel only. Please give us a call or stop by the Fitness Center to set up your personal training session(s).

 

PERFORMANCE BOARD

Fitness Center staff will watch your attempts and record the weights in Bench Press, Squat, and DeadLift. Earn your way onto the Performance Board and a 1000-Pound Club t-shirt. Stop by the front desk and request a staff member to record your attempts.

RUNNING CLUBS

*** Free for Active Duty and Ready Reservist. For all others, the fee to participate is $15 ***

100 MILE RUN CLUB: Maybe you can’t run 100 miles all at once, but you CAN do it in a year. Send us screenshots of your runs throughout the year and we’ll record them on our leader board. Email Cnicseftwomwr-fitnesscenter@us.navy.mil. Competition is open now! 

500 MILE RUN CLUB: Want to go even further? You’ll have a year to run, row, and bike 100 miles each, and swim 50 miles. The last 100 miles are a “wild card,” where you choose the activity. Send screenshots of your workouts to Cnicseftwomwr-fitnesscenter@us.navy.mil. Competition is open now!
