Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth (NASJRBFTW) serves as a strategic platform for the Air Force, Marine, Navy Reserve Forces and the Texas Air National Guard, including Air Force Plant #4, the final assembly plant for every F-35 produced by Lockheed Martin. NASJRBFTW is located in North Texas, six miles west of downtown Fort Worth and facilitates combat readiness for 43 joint tenants and supports the needs of their families during all phases of training and deployment. NASJRBFTW employs more than 11,000 active duty, guard and reserve service members and civilian employees, making it one of Fort Worth’s largest employers. The installation has an economic impact of $6.6 billion, including domestic product and aviation assets, according to the Texas Comptroller. NASJRBFTW serves as a critical support component in the final assembly plant for every F-35 joint strike fighter produced, representing a quantum leap in air dominance capability. NASJRBFTW is consistently at the forefront of advanced aviation operations, and has established a foundation of success, ensuring our staff is highly trained, ready to lead and set to provide the highest level of support to the fleet, fighters and families. Furthermore, an estimated 212,000 military retirees are estimated to live within the Fort Worth area, many of whom utilize on base services to include the Commissary, Base Medical and Fleet and Family Readiness Programs.
