SUPPLY CLERK/LINEN, (FLEX) NF-2005-01 SHIFTS 8:00-4:30 11:30-20:00

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo ensure security for all guest and privacy’s maintained.  Must possess a welcoming manner and positive attitude; demonstrate effective communication skills; professionally interact with guests; answering guest questions concerning hotel facilities; and provide information about local attractions. Provide assistance in handling customer complaints, involving management as necessary.

 

The incumbent is responsible for the inventory of supplies and linen used to support the operation. Prepare purchase request forms/documents for approval and places orders for NAF purchases, where appropriate.

Maintains assigned storerooms and linen storages spaces and is required to maintain minimum of 90% inventory accuracy.

 

Receives and counts linen received from the commercial laundry services or onsite laundry Issues linen as requested by the housekeeping department.

Receives, counts, places in inventory and prepares goods receipts for all supplies as appropriate. Maintains stock records and conducts monthly inventories as appropriate.

 

Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

QUALFICATIONS:  Preferred 6 months of work experience that demonstrates incumbent knowledge of inventory management including purchasing procedures and computerizes record keeping. Must be skilled in the use of a personal computer and various software programs and proficient with a calculator. Must posses basic math and reading skills. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing in English.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS: This positons is required to do considerable standing, bending, walking, pushing, pulling, and climbing. Must have ability to perform moderately strenuous physical labor as unassisted lifting, moving and carrying of supplies and equipment weighting up to 45 pounds is required.

May be required to climb /descend stairs and properly placed stepladders.

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: This position may be designated ALPHA personnel for inclement weather or in the interest of national security and may be required to report for work when other employees are excused.

 

This position is subject to the possibility of working on weekend and holidays, as well as, rotating shifts, often consisting of other than normal duty hours The staff member may be recalled to duty and/or required to work overtime, as necessary to meet mission requirements. May be requires to possess a valid state driver license. Travel to other NGIS facilities may be required within the normal scope of duties.

 

This position is subject to favorable National Agency Check (NAC)

 

The incumbent is expected to attend all training and obtain any applicable certifications for supply/inventory

Technician with 6 months of employment, as well as, any other requirements outlined in the Lodging Career Path Guide.
